The AOS's ties to and involvement with affiliated orchid societies and organiza-
tions constitute one of the strongest
and most long-lived programs in the Society's 85-year history. The earliest
AOS affiliated societies date back to the 1950s, and the current program boasts nearly 400 affiliates around the globe.
